The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) is not only a institution where admitted candidates undergo only military training but also undergo a good academic training as Officer Cadets for duration of 5 years.

On successful completion of training, graduands will have their university first degree (BSc, BEng, BA) and a commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
